This year, the carte blanche of Montpellier’s Comédie du Livre is entrusted to the novelist Alice Zeniter. As a preview of this 33rd edition, the author of The Art of Losing (Flammarion), Prix Goncourt des Lycéens, invites you, on Wednesday May 23, from 7 p.m., to meet the filmmaker Amandine Gay, at the occasion of a Night of contemporary Afro-descendant cinema.
This Night will take place at the Utopia Bernadette cinema and will last until midnight. During this night, the Utopia cinema and itself are programming two shorts and two feature films:
- The Blue White Red of my hair by Josza Anjembe (21 mn 38 s)
- The Death of Danton by Alice Diop (64 mins)
- Mother(s) by Maïmouna Doucouré (21 mn 3 s)
- The Last Parisians of Hamé and Ekoué (105mn)
The screening will be preceded by a discussion between Alice Zeniter and Amandine Gay.
