Masterclass « A story of one’s own: filmmaking as archival, creative and emancipatory work»

Amandine Gay is a director, actress and Afro-feminist activist. Her first film, Speak Up is a documentary giving voice to black women in France. Amandine Gay divides her time between artistic and academic research. In recent years, she has focused mainly on the topic of international adoption. In 2021, she publishes an autobiographical book A chocolate doll. In the program of the festival, her film, A Story of One’s Own which traces the lives of five young adoptees (now adults) will be screened.
