Our seminar, dedicated to the powerful voices and groundbreaking ideas of Black Feminism, welcomes Amandine Gay on May 21st.
Amandine Gay is a leading figure in this movement, skillfully blending artistic engagement with critical reflection on issues of race, gender, and class. As a filmmaker and activist, she will share insights into her journey and work while situating herself within the legacy of pioneering thinkers like bell hooks, whose writings have profoundly shaped the understanding and practice of Black feminism.
During this discussion, we will explore the central themes of Amandine Gay’s work, as well as the challenges and hopes that define the path of Black Feminism today. We also encourage the audience to actively participate by asking questions, fostering a dynamic and enriching exchange.
